I am not at all a Star Trek junkie, and going into this movie - I had some doubts. I knew it would be a great action movie, but as we all know, action doesn't make a great movie. The actors, plot line, director, producer, and variation make a movie great. Star Trek definitely comprises all the necessary aspects to make this a movie that is worth spending $10 in the theatre to see. It is a rare gem that will leave even the clueless satisfied. J.J. Abrams composition is not just for the hardcore Star Trek guru, and honestly next to the Vulcan hand gesture, I was not familiar with any of the characters, references, or story line. This movie had me from the opening scene and I would gladly see it again!
