I was impressed by the period set/costumes. Depp was wonderful but there was something missing from the story and strength of the script. The 3 of 5 stars is in no way a reflection on Depp. I would've liked to have known more about Dilinger's back story. There was no real connection with his character, accomplices, and significance of 1933. Cotillard= great but the role didn't do her acting ability justice. Bale could've been replaced & they probably would've given the role more conviction. I left wanting more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
