Seems a little slow at first to build up the story but completely neccessary. If it did not do this it would be just like any other comic book movie. All action, limited story. There were so many little things inter-twined in the story that made this a truly epic film. Not to mention the moral dilemmas that everyone almost evryone is forced to face. I especially like the way that Batman has to wrestle with his own rules. A very dark film with a few graphic images and implies violence. Definitely on the edgier side of PG-13. Heath Ledger was very good and it is very sad that he will not be around for a sequel. A talented actor who will truly be missed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
