Iron Man, the story of a weapons manufacturer who builds a special kind of suit in order to escape from a prison facility. That suit quickly transforms into an even more advanced suit in order for him to save lives. This movie is an excellent choice if your going for hardcore action. It starts a little slow in the beginning but the rockets off. with a climactic battle at the end, this movie earned the full five stars from me.
Though the movie may not have been created for the older group of today's generation, Wall-E is an excellent adventure for the family. When a charismatic robot is stranded on earth, he can't seem to figure out that he no longer needs to do his job. Not to mention the fact that a beautiful new robot, named Eve, has just shown up. This movie is filled with fun and laughs, as Wall-E roams the earth and the universe. Join Wall-E and his friends for this fun adventure.
Being 16, I've never been much of an Indiana Jones fan, so didn't go into this movie with a good attitude exactly. But Harrison Ford was able to bring it up to my level of expectations and rock the theater. The special effects were amazing and the corky humor actually got me to laugh. The story line may be a little odd, but they always are. Definitely worth the money to get the full experience in theaters on the big screen, also co-starring: Shia Labeouf, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, John Hurt, and Ray Winstone
Though it may not have been Will Smith's best movie ever, it was a well made movie. The story line appeared to be well thought out and easy to understand. The special effects are great, and the acting is just as good as any other action movie out there. Being a Will Smith fan I was anticipating this movie and didn't care what the critic's said. Pretty Good for a 16 year old at least.
Mike Meyers is back on the big screen in the comedy event of the summer. Mike Meyers is the Love Guru, an American raised in India, tought the different ways of love. When the NHL needs him to help bring a players love life back into check, he comes quick and brings the comedy with him. Though it may be an aquired taste of slapstick comedy, Mike Meyers out does himself, with a back-up cast of: Jessica Alba,Romany Malco, Justin Timberlake, and Meagan Good. The must see comedy of the summer.
M. Night Shyamalan has made some outstanding movies, including Signs, Unbreakable, and The Sixth Sense. The Happening does not fall into this group though. This film stars Mark Whalberg, a science teacher living in Philadelphia whose marriage might be coming to an end. When an odd chemical sweeps over New York City, he and his wife decide to make a run for it. This may be a step up from Shyamalan's past two movies, but still not great. Between the over-dramatization from Mark Whalberg, and the cheesy suicides, this movie did not reach expectations. 2 out of five stars, and thats being generous.
