Saw the movie in Imax 3D at AMC. Movie plot was below average - nothing new there. Too predictable. I would have thought that 3D was more advanced than what was shown in the movie. Hubble preview trailer had more 3D than Avatar movie. I guess Imax at a local AMC theater means a 20% bigger screen, but that's about all. Best part of the movie was the scenery and landscape. That showed the best use of imagination. As for the movie plot, you would think that in the year 2154, where you can travel to and live on other planets, and create and operate Avatars, that your military weapons would be more sophisticated than rockets, machine guns, and knives. Very unimaginative there. Movie was almost double what a regular movie costs, and not worth it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
