How does Pixar keep coming up with these fantastic scripts? As much as I loved each of the 3 Toy Story movies, I kind of hope this is the last one because they did a great job of wrapping up the story line at the very end. This may be the best Movie Trilogy ever. One of the best Fathers Day's I've spent with my family.
This movie is a true-blue summer blockbuster. If you enjoyed the original series you will love this movie. The performances by these young actors are all amazingly spot on to the original characters from the TV show. Kudos to the director, screen writer and set design for breathing new life into this cult classic. The whole movie was de-je-vue but with the addition of state-of-the-art special affects plus action from start to finish. If you love action adventure or Sci-Fi, it don't get much better then this. I
This is not a great movie by any stretch. In fact, I would only recommend this movie to mom-n-dads with younger children. It was watchable, but not by a wide margin. The 3-D affects helped wash it down. I feel sorry for anyone who had to sit through this in 2-D though. During the entire film I couldn't hep but to wonder if the only reason it was made was to sell video games. As one would expect, Brandon Frasier did his usual fine job. (His family movie adventure career is going strong). In fact, the cast of 3 did a fine job. I was equally disappointed in the new Indiana Jones movie...this movie was slightly worse (2 1/2 stars for Indiana and 2 stars for Journey). Both movies are fine for young kids on summer break though. looking forward to upcoming 3-D movies. I heard that James Cameron is making a 3-D...can't wait to see his stuff.
