Most of the time these high budget flicks use the amazing visuals to smudge the sub par plot and acting. While there were times when the dialog may have been a little weaker than I would have liked, the majority of the movie was better than I expected. The 3D was used to supplement the story, and it didn't jump out at you like many 3D movies do- it simply added depth and made the amazing effects all that much better. This just goes to show that when effects are used correctly, they can really add a lot to a movie. Going to see another action movie in 2D may be just plain boring from now on.
