This is the best Batman ever made. I know that is a big statement, but this movie blew me away. All of the acting was suberb, particularly Aaron Eckhart and of course, Heath Ledger. Ledger makes the Joker both terrifying and comical, a truly impressive feat. Eckhart as Harvey Dent is a tremendous force of good... The twists and turns this movie takes are mostly unpredictable. Maggie Gyllenhall is definitely a better casting choice than the original Katie Holmes would have been. Caine and Freeman are essentially themselves, however brilliant. Bale is strong, intelligent, and assuredly sexy as Batman takes different directions. The movie does not lack at all for action, having some of the best sequences I have ever seen, humor, and drama--and coming from a woman, is a great date movie. Girls--get out there and see it this weekend!
