You don't have to be an American Girl fan or even know what the whole American Girl doll phenomenon is all about.
This is just a very good movie with excellent characters & character-actors (Stanley Tucci & Joan Cusack...you gotta love any movie with these two in it) that the whole family will love.
I'm an American male (Grandpa) & I enjoyed this movie a lot.

Too much pure evil to enjoy completely...although this was a thoroughly well crafted movie, I could not recommend it do to the extreme violence & overall tone of the film.
Let me be fair. This is a good movie with a good story & credible/complex characters which will have you thinking & talking about it long after you see it. It should be rated 'R' & marketed towards a different target audience (not children & teens).
