There was a lot of hype leading up to this release, especially concerning the untimely death of Heath Ledger, and I was expecting a lot, but I was blown away. It was so much better than I could have hoped. Chris Nolan has taken the franchise and breathed a whole new life into. It is dark, creepy and maybe even a little disturbing but it all comes together so greatly with amazing performances by all the major cast. Heath really was incredible and channeled a sort of Clockwork Orange level of disturbing brilliance. Bale is as good as ever and Aaron Eckhart was a great surprise. I'd definitely recommend this movie to anyone who liked Begins and even those who didn't because this story line is even better this time round.
