The jet pack part was adventurous, the dialog between the dogs was boring, liked the cat Catherine in the mix and the pigeon could have been more creative except for that southern accent. I've seen better and expected more. Wait till this comes out on DVD.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Surprisingly Very Good Movie

My 9 year old son and his friend saw this yesterday. I was hesitant in seeing this movie because it looked really hyped up in the trailers and to me, that's usually all the good stuff summarized. People wrote reviews of bad acting. If you have watched the Air Bender cartoon series, they talked and acted just like the series. Had I not seen the cartoon series, maybe I would think it would be bad acting....but it wasn't. It was straight on like the series so that made the movie even BETTER and more likeable for the children who watch the series. I thought the graphics were really good. Appa the flying gentle creature that Ang uses was made especially well. There were underlying words of how the Earth works in harmony with everything - fire, water and air. I would see this film again and can't wait to see the sequel - which is inevitable at the end of the movie.
