Using the family drama of the British monarchy as a colorful backdrop, the movie manages to show the drama that undercuts the privilege that is the life of a monarch. The R rating comes from a scene involving swearing but it's done in an age appropriate way that contributes to the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

while the writing was funny the movie was predictable from the get go, still I laughed out loud quite a bit and they do a good job of filling out the jokes for all they're worth. not Owen Wilson's best performance tbh but a good supporting cast makes for decent viewing.
Topher Grace does a good job of portraying a lost post graduate student in a series of humorous encounters with his highschool dream crush. An unexpectedly great performance by Michael Biehn saves the show from being to much fluff and brings it back to reality. Not bad, better than Hall Pass for creativity
