While not as ambitious or romantic as V for Vendetta ‒ the saga of Edgar and Emily never rises to the level of tragic opera ‒ 'The Raven' benefits from its breathless pacing and stylish camerawork. Part "Seven", part "From Hell", part "Sherlock Holmes", but despite its contrivances there are enough clever nods in the script to keep it interesting.
Safe winds up being a B-movie with A-movie credentials, and all the more entertaining for it. Let the bullets fly. Let the bodies fall. Let a man who was grieving and suicidal rise up and wreak rough justice. And boy is it rough. And ever so satisfying. What we have here is basically an American "Transporter," with Statham caught up in the most jaw-dropping, quick-cut fights you've seen in years. A must see.
Pros well paced
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is your wedding. You only get a few of these.
"The Five-Year Engagement" dutifully hits the marks of its genre, but it is also about the unpredictability of life and the everyday challenges of love. The sensitivity and honesty with which it addresses those matters is a pleasant surprise. Both funny and romantic, "The Five-Year Engagement" runs a good 20 minutes longer than it should, but the winning on-screen chemistry between Segel and Blunt makes that a little easier to take. A must see.
Lockout has its flaws, but is entertaining and comical in a genre that could use a little humor. A surprisingly workable '90s throwback that delivers on far more levels than other such attempts. Its Escape From New York for the modern age. A must see.
The movie is a gory free-for-all, a horror film dressed up as an action film, and it's as pure a shot of adrenaline as any Tarantino fan could wish for. One fiercely entertaining action film ...a movie that's so in-your-face violent you come out of the theater feeling like it has smashed your head against the wall for an hour and 40 minutes.
One of the most unique horror sci-fi movies I've seen in a while. Its Resident Evil meets Hunger Games with a dash of humor and mix of Friday the 13th thrills. It's a smart, nasty picture, reinvigorating stale screenwriting ingredients -- a delirious valentine to slasher archetypes and monster mayhem. A must see, because you've never seen horror done like this.
No surprises here, just a fun and funny piece of PG eye candy. A romantic panto-style romp through goody-gum drops land, full of the best natured fun you'll find on the big screen, and with an inspired performance from Julia Roberts.
A full-out love note to fans of the series. Nearly as good as the teen classic original, only with the added benefit of nostalgic hindsight. American Reunion, remarkably, might just be the funniest issue yet from the American Pie franchise factory. Those who have grown up with these characters, now fixtures in pop culture, likely will find it reassuring to know that some things never change. A must see.
Wrath of the Titans is a testosterone fueled effects romp and proud of it. From top-grade 3D to a multitude of monsters and a welcome influx of acting talent, this is pure popcorn pleasure. Enjoyable sequel that improves considerably on the original film thanks to some terrific special effects and strong performances... A must see.
