Cheerful and surprisingly heartfelt, it's a crude and a decent-hearted outing. At its best, the film is just a bunch of guys who just enjoy each other's company, nothing more, nothing less. These are funny people, and the movie is loosely structured enough to showcase all of their talents. It's not bad, but you can save your money and wait for dvd.
Awesome fun! Cruise is back and better than he's ever been! It's Mission Impossible meets Charlie's Angels in this full throttle thrill ride. Great story, non-stop action, great chemistry, and just an all around good time. Knight and Day delivers with a bang and a laugh this summer! Go see it, you won't be disappointed!
Another summer, another Pixar feature, another masterpiece. Make no mistake: this Toy Story trilogy, and Toy Story 3 in particular, is a great work of art - one of the cleverest pieces of story-telling magic that Hollywood has ever conjured. It hits every button from laughter to tears and lifts you up on waves of visual dazzlement. A fitting and moving final chapter that takes the premise of the first movie to its logical conclusion. A MUST SEE in IMAX 3D!
If you're looking for a comic hero a bit different from the norm, Hex just might cast a spell on you and if you're comfortable with the comic style and the super weapons/crazy guns that would have blown the minds of any Civil War soldier, the action will keep you entertained. It reexamines the assumptions of good and evil—morality tale vs, trite entertainment—by confronting the hideous compromises people make with social conventions and their own desperation. A must see!
'The Karate Kid' is a visually appealing and highly engaging remake. It has new stars, new country, but same winning spirit and is precisely the sort of rousing, stand-up-and-cheer, feel-good entertainment movie audiences have been starved for this summer. The Karate Kid masterfully captures the charm and humanity of the 1984 original but at the same time adding its own spin on a story older than time about just trying to fit in and be excepted. A must see this summer!
The Star Trek of A-Team movies, with big explosions, and big fun in big-screen adaptation. Takes everything that was fun about the series on which it was based and amps it up into stratospherically ridiculous heights, and it does so with an irresistible insouciance and absolutely no apologies. A must see!
Those hoping for a summer celebration of wretched excess to rival The Hangover need wait no longer. This original buddy comedy is full of drugs, sex, rock 'n' roll and one of the most surprisingly enjoyable and consistent comedies of the year. Get Him to the Greek is a worthy companion piece to the underrated 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' A must see!
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a great leap forward (over a corpse-ridden bed of spikes) for video game film adaptations. Daft dialogue and silly costumes, sword fights and death-defying stunts, breathless chases and slithering snakes. A reasonable exercise in popcorn entertainment, This family-friendly romp will undoubtedly please everyone, if you enjoyed Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, then you'll enjoy this epic action-adventure
An awe inspring epic tale of how a man becomes a Legend, it is thoughtful and conscience driven and the action is all Ridley Scott. Its Gladiator meets Braveheart an action filled reboot of the Robin Hood story. Very grittyy and does for Robin Hood what the new Star Trek did to refresh the story. A must see for all lambs who want to become lions!
A blend of edgy, raunchy, and childish humor, and its unrelenting attempt to win over the audience you can't help but join in the laughter. An unending string of easy scatological jokes which it executes really well. Add in some slapstick and the infinite depths of MacGruber's incompetence and you have a smartly funny movie that uses all of Hollywood's lavish resources and you just won't believe where it goes. A must see summer blockbuster!
