I'm not at all a Trekkie. My friend is. However, it was me who dragged her to this movie, and it was my friend who was reluctant to go, fearing that it would be too 'different'.
We were both blown away, as was her 9 year old daughter. The movie was amazing. Thrilling, with enough humor and plenty of inside jokes to entertain both Trekkie and non-Trekkie alike. I'd see this again and again, if I had the money to do so! It makes Sci-Fi seem like reality!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I'm absolutely adoring this new run of Batman movies. First Batman Begins, and now this. Gone are the days when directors pander to the 'stupids', assuming that the general public won't understand intricate plots and the questioning of morality. The roles were incredibly well-acted, the plot held you, the dark comedy could have you in stitches in no time...
All in all, brilliance.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
