Excellent Movie...Dark Theme

I was very eager to see this movie since I read the book a few years ago. I thought the acting was wonderful! Monique was outstanding! I was even afraid of her. I thought the movie followed the book very closely. The theme is very dark and really does cross all lines of abuse. I did enjoy that the character finds some type of happiness, no matter how small, by the end of the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Male Freaky Friday

I took my 9-year old nieces to see this movie. They love Zac Efron and I now think he's a hottie as well! This was exactly as I stated above, "the male Freaky Friday." The PG-13 rating is good because this movie has a few references to sexuality. Parents be pre-warned, there is a scene with the mentioning of condoms. There is some cursing, but not much and not that bad. I would recommend this movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great Beginning To An Ending

HSM3 was great. It was filled with wonderful songs that reflected the ending of the original HSM cast and opened it for the new HSM cast members. The stage has been set for HSM4. Be prewarned, there is a tender moment or two in the movie that younger kids will find icky (characters share a kiss). I enjoyed this movie and so will you if you like the other HSM movies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Pleasantly Surprised...

When I saw this movie previewed, I immediately knew the kids wanted to see it and I didn't. We saw this movie opening weekend and I must say I enjoyed it very much! There were several really funny parts. Some of the puns were over an eight year olds head, but nothing vulgar. Drew Barrymore does a wonderful job as Chloe! This is a good, family movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Kids loved it...

The kids loved this movie. They thought the beginning was hilarious and the middle/end was "just funny." I, after indulging in some tasty popcorn, found my way into a nap. This movie is good for about one hour of light sleeping with the occasional peak to make sure the kids are still there. This movie was based on the mad scientist/Igor tale. There is a spin, the main character is very smart, but because he was born with a hump, he is destined to be an Igor.In a way, it's a love story with a message about loving what you create no matter how it looks. A good message, but it gets lost in the boredom of the last hour.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. I love the story, and of course the movie had a bit more added. This movie has wonderful messages of tolerance and acceptance that parents should really explain in more detail to their children. It also has a message of excepting people for who and what they are. It was a wonderful movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Surprisingly Funny!!

When my nieces told me they wanted to see this movie, I cringed. All I could imagine was sitting for a long period of time listening to the squeaky voices of the Chipmunks. Boy was I surprised. This movie was actually funny for both children and adults. I found myself singing a few of the songs in the movie and also laughing at some of the humor. The voices of the Chipmunks and the story line were very easy to follow and understand. My favorite character was Uncle Ian (and you will see why). I would highly recommend this movie for the family and we can't wait for the DVD.
