Within the lush costumes and elaborate decor of "The Young Victoria" lies a very sweet and enduring love story of a queen and her prince. Blunt does a great job of bringing the vulnerability and earnestness of the young monarch to the big screen. Friend is respectable and forthright. Together their chemistry is believable and fresh. I wish the story line would have delved further into their relationship as it left me wanting more when the credits began to roll, but otherwise this is a must see for any fan of a solid, well done period piece.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
