Visually, the movie was amazing. Great scenery, effects, etc. The CGI creatures looked so real I didn't even question their authenticity. The story, on the other hand, was very predictable - I had the whole story and the ending figured out before the end of the 15 minute prologue. After that, it was just sitting around for 2 1/4 hours waiting for it to end - no surprises, no twists, and nothing very interesting. It was a typical Cameron film. Looked great but with a mediocre story. It is worth seeing in the theatre for the visuals but wait for a matinee or use a gift card. It is not worth full price. Visuals = 5 stars. Story = 2 stars. Overall = 3.
