Now here's a movie that rocks, in a twisted way. Crooked cops and desperate mothers do NOT get along! The acting was top notch! period cars and clothes well done. The story held together very well start to finish for me. Wanna talk about getting angry about unjust situations?! and to top it off it is based on a real situation... remember the old saying that truth is stranger than fiction? this is definitely a keeper, for both guys and dolls!
Good news about QoS? LOTs of action, but most of it highly unbelievable, like Matrix fantacy. Struggle scenes falling through scaffolding and windows was like a Rube Goldberg machine set to self-destruct... gravity wins! Initial chase scene was more believable. Intro 'song' was yuk. I WAS impressed artistically by the beautiful blending of sand and women's body forms in intro. Feminine curves and shedding of sand were delightfully crafted. I've seen half the Bond movies over the years. Nice to see his car wasn't above semi-realistic damage in initial chase. Acting was ok, though not outstanding. Better than mine.
I generally like about 50% of Sandler's movies, but this one is another addition to the 'good stuff' list. I think the movie's underlying premise, that we are all human and struggle to get by, is a great framework for the tensions and laughter throughout the flick. did I say, 'fun flick'? you got it!
very good movie. Ford has continued his tradition of fine craftsmanship, and the new players/characters added to the plot are not far behind. rip roaring good adventure.
