I very much enjoyed this movie. A well thought out retelling of the Star Trek canon. I believe Roddenberry would be happy with this new version, which is, mostly, in keeping with the Star Trek mythos. Did we really need a romance between Uhura and Spock? I think not. The few things that I have a problem with are some of the set designs. These things are: the engine room,because it looked like a factory or warehouse, with too many girders; shuttle bay because of girders and the layout. Another area was the waterpipe scene. What the heck was that!? A Water works? On a star ship? Big Pipes? And finally the design of the engine nacelles. Over all, like I said, a very good movie, 4.5 stars.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
