Characters were not well-developed; those you wanted to spend more time with and get to know were only scantilly filled in and cartoonish. Every key plot point was predictable and a bit of a let-down. But the creative new world had many lovely features and inventive ideas. This is one of those movies you want to see because everyone else has seen it. Noteable: The 3D was natural and wonderful.
If you're a Bond fan, this is another great moment. More to my liking than the previous one, of which this is a sequel. More humorous, more depth to Bond, they brought back the sequenced circles with which they used to start the film--although only at the end. I miss some of the patented Bond movie characters and devices, such as the sexy, girly silhouettes at the beginning, Q, Bond shooting at us from the circle at the beginning, crazy villains with wild, fantasy-infested lairs... but I like this Bond a lot and I'm thrilled to be along for the new ride.
