Although I can't say that it was the best movie ever, it is cutting edge and completely worth seeing. Do not wait for it to come out on DVD. I don't imagine it will be as good.
The special effects are fabulous, but it does have a predictable plot. It is as if Cameron took the parts he liked from the Matrix, Pocahontis, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and a few more, mixed them together and came up with this story line.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Aside from the fact that had to sit three rows away from the screen, it was a great movie! Lots of action and humor.
However, there is no need for seats THAT close to the screen! I could not watch any scenes where there was fast movement or action because I thought I was going to be sick! Fortunately there was a good mix of fast and normally paced action so that I could piece the story together. I need to see it again, but I'll get there an hour early next time!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
