This movie had great potential to be much better. From the start the crew seemed to have all the discipline of middle school children. Has the director never heard of protocol? Safety protocol, infection protocol and all the other protocols were completely missing. Right from the start most of crew walked into a structure that looked unsound within minutes of landing. The entire mission could of ended right there with a structure collaspe killing most of the crew.. It started getting good about 75% of the way through. The entire crew seemed to be mentally unbalanced and the only one that knew what he was doing was the Alien. He saw them for the undisciplined idiots they were and began to immediately kill them. I want to see the Navy Seals from Act of Valor in a Alien movie. I still give it four stars.

I had my doubts about this movie because the main characters were in CGI. I didn’t think they could pull it off. But it was very well done. It fit right along with all the other shows that came before. I look forward to more in the series.

This is one the first movies I've seen where the location made it work. Otherwise I may have been very disappointed. Venice is a beautiful city and so is Angelina Jolie. They complemented each other. Johnny Depp also did a fantastic job in usual fashion. The ending was also well done. Definitely a date movie.

If you like haunted houses. You will like this movie. Although the hand held shaky camera technique got a little tiring at times. Over all I'd say it's a great movie for Halloween.
