realist batman movie ever!!

One word....Dark. Let me start by saying, I don't watch movie trailers. They reveal too much. That being said, I had not seen one clip of Heath as the joker, only movie posters at the theater. I was skeptical about the hype surrounding Heath's portrayal of the Joker, not anymore! His performance was so realistic, It gave me the creeps, not to mention the nightmares. (Alright, I'm exaggerating about the nightmare part, but I seriously did have dreams that I was battling this guy, ha, ha). This movie will definitely capture fans of the Batman series. Those who aren’t will say it’s a good movie, maybe great. I grew up watching batman cartoons and of course the batman movies in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Never had I thought of the joker as something other than an evil cartoon character. I saw a different side of the Batman series that I had never imagined. What if Batman were real and his enemies as well? If they were, this is definitely what they would be like. It was pretty deep for me and I think it would be the same for others who grew up watching Batman and reading the comics. 5 Stars for Christian’s performance. Oscar nomination for Heath’s performance. Negatives: Maggies performance pretty bad. Several scenes were cut to comply w/ PG13 rating. Should have just left them in and made it R rated. Hopefully the DVD will have the uncut version. Overall: Must see movie if you are a fan of Batman series. Great movie if you don’t really follow the Batman series.
