Silly story but a major shift in movie making

Without getting into spoilers, Avatar's story is an amalgam of a dozen other movies you've seen. The difference though, is the magnitude of its execution. This film truly deserves the term epic. The cast did amazing work with the inane script. Zoe Saldana knocked it out of the park. She wasn't a starlet playing an alien, she *was* an alien. You might not love this movie, but i think you will enjoy it and you will witness the bar being raised into orbit.

Fun, in a shameful way

This movie is about justice vs. vengeance (and how they are not the same). There's no good guy in this movie. That said, i found it to be well made, well performed and fun to watch.

Bourne with Better Editing

While the editing is still a bit faster than i'd like, it had the feel of a Bourne movie without the nausea. i enjoyed Liam's performance. It had some "torture porn" elements, but of a sort that most people/parents might be able to appreciate. This action flick was a welcome respite from the over the top, quick cut cliche.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
