Not a trekkie & I loved it!

Ok- first off, I've never watched a complete episode of Star Trek in my life. I've seen parts of episodes, so I got some of the references (which the movie heavily plays to!), but overall, the show wasn't for me. The movie, which is essentially the prequel to the show more than the previous Star Trek movies (as I've been led to understand) is awesome. I went because I'm a fan of JJ Abrams, who directed, and I was not disappointed! It was a really good film, some plot holes, but just a fun watch all the way around. FYI- if you're not a Trekkie and you watch it with some, be prepared for spontaneous (and I felt, gratutious) fan love! Enjoy...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
