This was a grandchildren request ages 9, 7 and 5. 'Had to explain much (quietly of course) throughout the film. The seven year old (female) hated it. The nine year old (female) liked it without explanations. The five year old (male) kind of liked it. The consensus was there was way too much artillery. Ed Norton was terrific. Thought it was great how they weaved in Bill Bixby and Lou Farigno. Had to explain that too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
