I'm not sure why the screen writer and director felt that one of the best selling books of all time needed to be re-written - but they failed to make Roling's book better and unfortunately managed to highlight very well the more superficial - young teens in love story line - while adjusting or completely skipping over critical components to the true story. Stick to the books gentlemen - that's why we are coming to see the movie - it's not about you - its about the books. I would have gone to the theater many times to see a well represented version of the books. I won't be back to the theater to see this one.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
