Not having read all the books, but having re-watched the entire movie collection, some twice in this last week... I learned a lot. It was a great movie, very grey, dark, looming. Fast paced. Everyone should see it that knows the story line up till. I think I need to go read all of the Harry Potter books before spring. Questioned the point at which they chose to stop/end Part 1, or I just want more, I want to know... off to read!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I wasn't sure about Avatar before I finally got around to seeing it. Wish I hadn't waited until 3D was gone. It was a great story, a little hard to catch on in the beginning if having not known much about the movie. I think the overall story was wonderful, pulling on the heart strings. The analogy to our Native Americans was tremendous. The picture of the menacing military was a tad harsh, cookie cutter. I think that Cameron is terrific for the greatness of his movies... sometimes stretched out some.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
