I've followed Conan for a number of years, comics, graphic novels etc. If you have also, you will be greatly disappointed. Action was okay, but I found it to be a cross between 10,000 BC, the Scorpion King, 300 and some mixture of early Roman legions. The original Arnold Conan fit more in line with the comics and graphic novels, witches, socerers, magic, lands of kings, warriors, spirits, black magic and so forth. Manoa did a good job, but I just didn't get that Conan "feel". My colleagues and I always said that the wrestler Jimmy "the superfly" Snuka, in his prime, would have been the ABSOLUTE PERFECT Conan for film. Its a hang-out movie, nothing to get excited about
....Please make him more gray than green. Give him a haircut, entirely too much hair on his head, and anyone who has ever followed comics throughout its years including early 80's know that the more angry, enraged the Hulk becomes, the stronger he gets and even his body enlarges some. Overall, the movie was EXCELLENT. I will still put Iron Man on top as the best comic book movie thus far. I would definitely recommend it and would see it again, lots of fun!
....waste. I like Adam Sandler, but this movie was a complete waste. Too much emphasis on sex, and underlying political messages. Even though the movie warned of crude humor, etc etc. it was still in awful taste and filthy. Not a movies for kids, for those who are thinking of taking them. Wait for DVD.
