Star Trek finally hits home

I've never quite understood all the hoopla about Star Trek. it always seemed to me like low-budget 70's sci-fi. My generation preferred Star Wars. If I had to compare the new Star Wars (Episodes I, II, or III) to the new Star Trek, I might have to give it to Star Trek. The character development for Spock and Kirk is great. Most of the characters have, in my book, surpassed the supposed charm of the original Star Trek cast. From an emotional stand-point, the initial scene sets up the entire movie incredibly well. One criticism is the usage of time travel by a certain character to sum up the entire plot. This is a cheap way to bring other characters up to speed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
