Good graphics although they looked to be done in the late 1980s and not up to the spectacular graphics found in films like Star Trek or the Hobbit series.
Interesting storyline but rather campy. Many of the actors don't fit the chacter well. I usually lik Dennis Quaid but not in this role. Marlon Wayans was too comical for my taste. Byung Hun Lee was excellent and perhaps the only character who you could feel.
Entire last 30 minutes was a set up for sequel which, unfortunately, cheapens the film.
I was really looking forward to this movie but I just can't rate it very high. If Borat was a 10, this was a solid 5.
The humor is more lewd than funny. The constant nudity is overkill. It just wasn't funny. The mix of what appears to be effective Borat-style video of unsuspecting targets and what most clearly is staged skits doesn't really come together. Granted, it must be incredibly difficult for Sasha Baron Cohen to fool anyone after the brilliance of Borat, but this film just didn't come together for me.
There are some very funny parts, but I suggest wait for DVD and watch it at home.
Somewhere I read Transformers 2 didn't have a storyline. Well, that reviewer was wrong. The storyline of the sequel is quite well done. the graphics are superb, although at times it is hard to make out the difference between the autobots and the decepticons. Shia LaBeouf continues to grow as an actor and brings solid authenticity to the role.
The language is a little much for kids under 8, but the effects keep them riveted to their seats. Without the swearing it would have earned 5 stars.
All in all, one of the best movies I've seen this year for pure entertainment.
