This movie is really about the characters, and the actors all really bring each one to life. Penelope Cruz is brilliant, as is Javier Bardem. Very funny film. Enjoy it!
Let me start by saying that I am a fan of the previous IJ movies, but this one really disappointed. It wasn't the acting, which was excellent, or the dialog for the characters, but the inane plot and horrible directing which killed it for me. Did Steven Spielberg call this one in, or have an assistant take care of the actual work? Was there anyone around who could objectively look at the plot scenarios and mention that they just don't work?
I don't care that Harrison Ford is getting a little old for the action hero role, because I wanted to believe in what Indiana was doing, but he dodged more live ammunition and was inches from so many deadly situations so often that it just became silly.
No need to give away the story for those of you who want to see it (on dvd, if you do yourself that favor), but I just want to say that this was a sad way to end the Indiana Jones series.
Really enjoyed this one. The chemistry between the two stars was so believable and the writing was great. So many moments had our group laughing out loud!
