This movie started out ok. But it lost it's punch and got more stupid as the minutes passed. i was with my 2 daughters who are grown up and my husband. I was embarrassed by the language. The plot stunk, the sexual inuendo's were childish and Steve Carell's character was pathetic. I hated this movie after about 1 hour and struggled to stay in my seat. This was a poor attempt at humor and even a more poor attempt at a story line, this was so bad that I can't even give it one star. But since I have to rate it, I am giving it 1 star.
This movie was funny in some parts, crude language and crude behavior spoiled the rest of the film. I like the cast but can not recommend this movie. This is a one shot deal movie, not worth $11.00 to see again. The man who took the so called valium was very funny.
My daughters and I really enjoyed this movie, it was beautiful, and fascinating to see the bottom of the ocean, The dolphins, wales and sea lions and seals were so much fun to watch. I felt as if I were really under water, or at the place my self, it was awesome. I am however not sure why parents would bring young children to this movie, this is not a cartoon disney movie, it is a documentary. I couldn't enjoy this movie as much as I would have liked because I kept getting kicked from behind, and a young child talked through out the film. Parents, please choose wisely when you decide to take your children to a film. $31.50 is alot to pay for a film that I didn't get to enjoy.
I really liked this movie. I think Hillary Swank, played Amelia very well. Sometimes I forgot that it was not the real Amelia. Amelia was a independent spirit who in a time when women were demure and softspoken, she was outspoken and not afraid to push the buttons. I liked the costumes of that time period and I was pleasantly surprised. I like longer movies and this one was just the right length of time. I thought Richard Gere played a great role as Amelia's husband, he played the adoring husband and I believed him. Richard is so likeable, no matter what he is playing he always does his best. Unfortunately the ending was brief because we never knew what happened to her.
I thought this movie was fantastic. Julia Child was such a character. She was funny, delightful, and so talented. I loved the relationship she had with her husband and sister and I loved her spunk and her ability to make things happen for herself regardless of what other people thought. She adored food and she was a marvelous cook. Meryl Streep was fantastic, I actually forgot that it was her playing Julia. The only negative thing was Julia's reaction to Julie's blog and how hurt Julie was and how she never got to meet Julia. It was a good movie, I wouldn't mind seeing a second one.
This movie was o.k. It started out o.k, but then I found myself falling asleep. I liked the couples relationship. To me the story line was weak, it was cute, but I wouldn't see it again. I didn't think the use of foul language was necessary, they seemed to be cursing just to curse. I don't know any people who talk to each other like this couple as far as their intimate life and parts of the female anatomy go. I didn't like the way Allison Janney's character related to her kids, I thought it was insensitive the way she talked behind their backs, I thought she was obnoxious. I would not go see this movie again, due to its boring topic and weak plot. the ending was nice.
I enjoyed this movie, I did like the first one better. I think the first one had a better story line. I would have liked to have seen Mickey Rooney and the other two gentleman in this movie. Our stars from yesteryear always make a movie more enjoyable.
I wasn't sure what to expect. I am 50 years old and a mom to 22 and 23 year old daughters> It was nice to see Matthew Perry and I thought Zac Efron was very cute. If I were a teen ager his posters would be on my wall. It was a funny movie and the best friend was so funny. I loved the pursuit of the Principal. It was a good movie and I probably would take my daughters if they were interested. Its nice to laugh at this time in our lives.
This movie was breathtaking, and educational all at the same time. The closeup shots of the animals were magnificent. I had no idea that the desert was expanding and that the elephants had to go to such great lengths to get water. The polar bear's struggle was heartbreaking.
It was very well done and I am glad that I went to see it with my 2 grown daughters. A perfect movie for Earth Day.
