Definite Top 10 (Worst Movies Ever)

My wife & I consider SHARK BOY & LAVA GIRL unquestionably THE Worst Kid's Movie Ever Made. SHORTS gives it a run for its money.
Good actors like William H Macy & James Spader spew the worst dialog of their career in a plotless, artless, ultimately pointless film devoid of creativity. It's as if Rodriguez feels anything that stumbles through his mind is worth putting on screen. It's not. I love wacky. This was just painful.
The back & forth jump cuts were not so much a narrative device as a way to cover up Rodriguez's inability to hold together a story.
The only reason I gave the movie one star is because this was required field and zero stars was not permissable.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

BEAUTIFULLY PACKAGED MEDIOCRITY

The Art Direction and Cinematography were exceptional. The whole LOOK was wonderful down to the potion bottles and I want to live in the Weasley home.
Jim Broadbent stole the show, which is no small feat when he shares the screen with Alan Rickman, Maggie Lewis, and Michael Gambon.
Some nice dramatic moments, quirky humorous ones, and Luna Lovegood was a delightful addition (was she in previous films?).
But...ultimately, the movie showed itself to be exactly what it was...an installment of a series. The lack of closure or narrative completeness left it no better than a mediocre movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Formula driven, tripe. The acting was wooden, the plot filled with gaps big enough to swallow Cleveland, and the dialog felt written by a 12 year old comic book junkie. I was starting to think the number of times Dwayne Johnson said "Hang On!" was inserted as a "Hi Bob" drinking game for the video release. Extremely disappointing. After GET SHORTY and GET SMART, I was starting to enjoy "The Rock." In this he returns to the acting of Bubba Smith or The Boz.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
