Our 6 year old enjoyed it. She has just started Tai Qwon Do and was interested in the martial arts. The violence didn't seem to bother her but I had a nightmare about being forcibly placed at the edge of a mile deep cliff. Also, children are too young to grasp the deeper meaning of the story which could somewhat justify the violence for adults. I think it should be rated PG-13. There were a few moments of humor even for us adults. I would recommend with a warning.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
