Saw Opening Day..."Over The Top" and Rita Wilson knew what she was doing when she picked the cast. Great cast chemistry and great singing. Pierce had the only weak voice in my opinion but it didn't detract from the movie at all. Shocked how great Streep's singing was. It all worked and the crowd was clapping all the way through the movie and at the end credits, people were up in the aisles dancing to the final credit songs. Great Fun and a Great Date Movie (as long as your date knew and loved Abba)
Can't wait to see it again and again and again and then own the DVD...Happy, Fun Movie of the Summer!!!!!

I have seen the movie twice so far. It was everything I expected it to be and more. I am so pleased that they kept in line with the original series and I think Jennifer Hudson was wonderful and added to the film instead of detracting from it as the critics have been quoted. The Fashions were amazing of course and who doesn't love New York as a back drop.
It matters not whether you saw the original series; the movie stands alone.
