Definitely the most violent version of Batman ever depicted on film. The movie left me with uncertainty. I still am not sure if I liked it or not. On one hand the performance by Heath Ledger both haunted and amazed me. And yet I felt as though the Bruce Wayne I remembered from my youthful days of comic books was depicted in a completely different light- or should I say darkness. Was it filled with action? Yes, Was it filled with thoughts about terrorism and mayhem that made me think ? Yes. But at the same time I don't know if another Batman film could ever be made again. I think this movie pushed Batman and his companions to a place where there is no return.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
