Umm, I'm having deja vu from this movie, the ending reminds me too much of the last Indiana Jones movie with the aliens, still, a decent large screen movie...Cage is ok but not overly involved in his role, one small side note, if you have kids you'll find it odd that the parents keep leaving the kids unsupervised at all the wrong times.....but that's just me
What a great movie, Rourke turns in one of the most compelling charachter studies I've seen in years...try to get out to a theatre to see this before it goes away!
UM, where to start.... first the good: the little boy in this is just incredible, and the story is very interesting...but please, Hugh and Nicole had NO chemistry and even worse Hugh really does have no charisma (just like a critics review that I read before going but chalked it up to jealosy because he is so hot......) I squirmed a lot in my seat and finally left 45 min early, so I don't know if it got better.
The premise of the dreaded" inlaw holiday" visit is very funny but the story lags a bit here and there when it tries to get heavy. Vaughn really saves the lacking script with his great timing - all in all not a bad movie, more than a few funny moments, not a rush out and see it ...but maybe a solid rental.
A solid movie theatre movie, Vin Diesel carries this movie all the way through its rough and gritty sets and action scenes. I have only one question, did the production company run out of money for the ending??
Finally, a movie that relies on storytelling and throws away the crutches of jigglecam and CG!! This is a movie that hollywood should be very proud of!
