Fun Super Hero Flick!

Iron Man was a very exciting and action packed film with some great acting leads. Robert Downey, Gwynneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges were superb in their roles. Especially Downey who absolutely had the character nailed. His performance was amazing. Good to see him back in the saddle again. This was a movie most could enjoy - a good summer flick with surprise,surprise - good acting!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A Little Disappointed, but Welcome Back SATC!

First of all, no one was looking forward to this movie more than I was. I am a die-hard SATC fan and I have seen every episode at least 3 times. I couldn't wait to see it in all of its glory on the big screen. However, as I settled in with great anticipation I found myself a bit disillusioned and slightly disappointed. First let me say it was beautifully shot with lots of great local NYC spots, fun fashion and of course it was great seeing the girls again. However, I began to notice that each scene seemed like a preview - quick and then on to something else (most I had already seen as trailers) Many scenes were so quick I found myself unsatisfied - the movie seemed to jump from one glorious shot to the other without allowing the audience to soak up what was going on before moving on to the next scene. It seemed to lack the great intimacy of the tv series. However, I'm sure it was hard trying to get four story lines in 2+ hours. Perhaps the problem is too much hype leading up to the movie and too many previews - we all knew ahead of time the essence of the entire story with few surprises. BUT, there were two surprises in the end I will not give away which may lead to another movie. If that happens my suggestion would be less scene jumping and more substance. Finally, would I recommend this movie even through my disappointment? Abso*******lutely! If you are a SATC fan, you have to go see it, as no matter what the characters are great and are still like the friends that we care about.
