I am upset that I can give less that 1 star... first of all. OK
I was so bored watching this movie, I so wanted to fall asleep in the theater... and I usually like quirky comedies.
Likes: Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, a few funny moments scattered here and there
Dislikes: George Clooney & Brad Pitt's character... the slow pace at the begining was AWEFUL!
I am still on the fence with the other characters... But I do know I would not see this again, recommend it or buy it on DVD.

I have seen and love the movie version and really love this version as well. It seemed more intimate with camera Close Ups at certain times of the production, which you would not really get if you were watching a live performance.
I would so watch this movie again and I plan on attending a performance when RENT comes to LA in March 2009.

A good Continuation...

As Mega-fans of the Popular HBO TV Show watch this movie, I am pretty sure they will feel like I felt. It was great to see the girls again, even though 10 years have past from TV to Big Screen... you feel as though you never missed a beat.
I have watched some episodes on TBS, and let me tell you, it is more like DATING and the City. But I was glad that they lived up to the NAME in the movie.

Alas, there were some twists and turns, ups and downs. It was just like a speeding roller coaster... But wasn't that how the TV show was like?
Things start and stop.... begin and end, and just when you think that is it... it is all over... it is never going to happen.... you get surprised. Well can't talk much on that.
But Real S&TC fans will be pleased at the end.
And the New Closet space is Fabulous.... you'll see.
Oh, you might want to bring a hankie.... hmmm Maybe?
