Better than I expected...

I had heard that the second half of the movie began to turn into a standard issue superhero movie, and I have to agree. But the first half was great - it didn't feel like a superhero film... the character arcs were very well played out. Downey was a spectacular choice and the cast delivered very original performanced. Also hats off to ILM, once again. Great plants and pay-offs, overall very satisfying, shame though they seemed like they ran out of money by the end of it - the last 15 minutes had very poor coverage. And for some reason, despite being very entertained throughout, walking out of the theater I had very little interest in seeing it again. A good film though. ****
Yes, I recommend this movie.
