Inconsistent but entertaining

The meticulous special effects was really the star of the movie, everyone else was in a supporting role. Glad to see Danny Glover again. What I notice is that there's a scene where they claim that all ground communications are down, only later then that a character will call his friend via cel phone. I suppose one cel relay antenna survived the earthquakes and tsunamis. The rich Russian character stole the show.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
