This was a great little movie with lots of thrills. It certainly had more plot than the original Witch Mountain movie. It was very entertaining and worth the price of a ticket.
It was worth seeing... once. I felt that the movie suffered too much from the re-write made from the original 1951 movie. The theme there was man's impending doom from self-destruction from violence. Re-making the movie into a paen for Al Gore's assertions that we are destroying the world and are not worthy to live on it was a bunch of clap-trap. I had to look at the credits to see if it was co-written by any violent environmentalist loonies.
This was a fantastic movie. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The theater was packed and everyone else seemed to have the same emotional ride that we did. The cinematography was stunning and the plot was engaging. It was a wonderful story.
This movie was not nearly as good as the previous 2. I should have waited until this came out as a rental. The plot was thin and the acting uneven. Special effects are not good enough to salvage a mediocre movie.
Despite the hype about this movie, frankly I did not enjoy it very much. My wife and I both agreed that it was too dark, depressing and left us feeling drained by the experience of watching the movie. The ending left us with little desire to see a sequel, if they choose to make one. It ended on such a "sour note" as to leave a bad taste in our mouths. Heath Ledger's performance was great - but it didn't make up for the overall experience of the plot.
This was MUCH better than the first movie, even though I enjoyed the first movie. The plot, the characterizations, the special effects -- everything was so much better. This was a wildly entertaining movie with some wonderfully funny spots. I especially loved the drunken karaoke scene with Hellboy and Abe. What a hoot!
Leave it to Pixar to not only craft a wonderful plot but to also find a way to make it into a visually stunning production. This is a wonderful movie for the whole family.
This movie was extraordinary for a comic-book hero genre. The plot was well thought-out and completely engaging. The special effects were great. The entire movie was a credit to movie making for its balanced effort of plot, character, effects and the balance of humor, drama and plot twists.
