Close to the book, great action sequences and beautiful romantic scenes. What's not to like?

Over hype to blame?

4 amazing books, one awesome soundtrack, record breaking movie ticket pre-sales...high expectations. But I do not believe that is to blame. I would have sat through an extra half hour if it meant better character development and more memorable scenes. The casting was great. But I feel some unnecessary over-acting took place here and there which made some scenes seem cheesy. I was disappointed that key elements lost their essence. Trust me, Edward showing Bella what happens to him in the sun is not meant to be funny. It is one of the many special moments they share on their journey to falling in love...
No, I do not recommend this movie.
