If you see this movie with no expectation that it is like the original Lone Ranger series from years back and accept it for what it is, a mostly comedic interpretation of the Lone Ranger story, then you will not be disappointed. This was very much a Johnny Depp vehicle with his brand of humor and acting style. If you liked Dark Shadows, Alice, Pirates of the Caribbean and Johnny Depp's other movies, you will like this movie. I think a lot of the bad reviews were that people were expecting the original Lone Ranger story, which this is not except in a few small spots. I liked this movie and will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Great Adventure Movie

My husband and I saw this movie last night and it compares favorably with the first movie in the series for action, comedy and story line. As usual, the character of Jack Sparrow was played superbly. I would recommend this movie to anyone who loved the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series.
