I took my 7 year old to see this movie and we both enjoyed it. Yes, it is a kids' movie! Duh. My son read the first book and he really enjoyed the movie. It was fun and the characters definitely reflected the book. We plan to purchase the DVD once it comes out.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
