The movie was a good insight into the Gay Civil Rights Movement, however I felt like I was peering into the movie and not connected to the actors. There was too much build up to Milk's assassination and not enough of what led to it and what followed it. It felt a little disjointed. It was pleasant to watch, especially since it was a subject not typically seen in major motion pictures.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
