I think this is one of the best Riffs the gang has done in a long time. Seeing it live was a bonus. The entire audience in my theater was roaring and getting into the spirit of the occasion.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Wonderful Film

This film exceeded my expectations. As an Anglophile, I fully expected the film to play fast and loose with both the characters and the events that take place. There were slight modifications to actual situations, but nothing that stood in the way of getting the message of the film across.
Of course, the quality of this film stands on the wonderful screenplay, and the incredible acting. Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, and Helena-Bohnam Carter, with a wonderful supporting cast, are as the Brits say; "spot on". Bohnham-Carter, in particular, played her role to perfection. Born Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, a commoner, she shows both down to earth practicality, and a regal bearing. In contrast, Firth, playing first the Duke of York, and then King George VI, is a product of his upbringing within the close knit circle of the Royal Family; or as the Duke himself refers to it; "The Firm".
I highly recommend this film, and hope it will be distributed more widely in the near future. I had to drive over 60 miles to see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
