It was entertaining, but not fabulous

From the trailers, I expected this to be a comedy, and it was mostly just that. But, it had some plot turns that just didn't seem to fit well and the ending was rather abrupt. All in all, it was an entertaining movie up until the ending and then it just stopped. It was like they ran out of time and just ended the movie. All of the actors did a fantastic job, and Brad Pitt stole the show as the "personal trainer" with more beauty than brains. I thought some of the plot twists surrounding George Clooney's character were reaching just a bit. But John Malkovich did a great job with his role and character. I just feel that the ending was contrived and hurried and really didn't fit well with the rest of the movie. It's a good rental.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disappointing

I am an avid fan of the X Files TV series. This movie was not only disappointing but could have been done as a 1 hour TV show. It definitely did not live up to the standards that the TV show had. It was boring and rather mundane. It was not suspenseful, but tedious at times. It looked like both lead actors had just "phoned in" their parts and were not engaged in the story at all, especially Jillian Anderson. It was a waste of my time and money.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
